Pythagorean table for 2011-12 German Bundesliga

We present the Pythagorean table for the 2011-12 German 1. Bundesliga season, for matches played up to 25 March 2012. The standard league Pythagorean exponent of 1.70 is used.

Bayern Munich led the Bundesliga at the winter break, but despite their goalscoring record weren’t as dominant as one might expect.  Dortmund have yet to lose a match in the second half of the season and have surged into the lead, and now Schalke aren’t far behind.  Wolfsburg and Nuremberg are very fortunate to be in mid-table instead of fighting to avoid relegation.  The bottom three teams are in serious trouble of going down — that famous clock chronicling Hamburg’s stay in 1.Bundesliga may stop ticking in June.
