Pythagorean table for 2011-12 Italian Serie A (2011-11-13)

Below is the Pythagorean table for the 2011-12 Italian Serie A season, for matches played up to 6 November 2011.  The standard league Pythagorean exponent of 1.70 is used.  The Italian league started late due to a player's strike, so I held off on publishing these results until the season reached the quarter-mark.

Keep in mind that I am using points gained on the field of play, before administrative deductions are applied.  So Atalanta have 18 points in this table instead of the 12 that they actually have due to their point deduction penalty.  Just about all of the Serie A teams are playing in line with their expectations, Novara are playing a little worse but that's about it.  Everyone is playing as well, as indifferent, or as bad as their goalscoring statistics would indicate.
