Call For Papers to 2017 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference

The MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference has made its call for papers for the 2017 conference.

As has been the case since 2011, research paper selection is done in a two-round process.  In the first round, applicants submit abstracts of their research.  Those who pass through the initial cull are invited to submit full papers, from which finalists for the Poster and Presentation competitions will be selected.  There will be separate paper tracks for Baseball, Basketball, Other Sports, and Sports Business.

As I’ve stated on previous occasions, the Research Paper and Poster competitions keep me coming back to the SSAC.  The presentations are all of high academic quality and compelling to the sports industry, so being a finalist is a great honor.  The prizes on offer are also a great motivator as well!

The abstract submission deadline is at 11:59pm on 28 September.
